International Island Games Orkney 2025 Tartan Tie

Designed and woven by Lochcarron of Scotland, in collaboration with ourselves and Beccy May, vice chair of Orkney 2025 for the 2025 International Island Games. The tartan design draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of the Orkney Games 2025 logo, set against a blue background. Each colour reflects the essence of the islands - the surrounding seas, landscapes, rich culture, heritage, and strong community spirit.

This marked the first time Orkney has hosted the International Island Games, and it was the largest event ever held on the islands. With athletics from up to 24 island groups competing in 12 exciting sports, the games were a true celebration of sports and island communities.

Woven at our mill in lambswool and crafted into a variety of accessories, available for visitors and competitors to purchase as a keepsake of the Games and a tribute to this landmark event.
