Dating back to the 15th century, Midhope Castle is a striking example of a traditional Scottish tower house. Once home to the Hope family, it later became part of the Hopetoun Estate.

Though its interior now stands derelict, the castle retains a powerful sense of history and atmosphere. Its weathered stone walls and quiet surroundings give it a timeless, almost magical presence.

Today, it is best known as the filming location for Lallybroch, the ancestral castle home of Jamie Fraser in the series Outlander, drawing visitors who appreciate both its historical significance and its haunting beauty.
